POP UP LIT SHOP/NEW COMP

Last Thursday we had a table at the Pop-Up Lit Shop, hosted by the EMP Collective and Ink Press at a space in downtown Baltimore. To be honest it was a literary event we schemed our way into because Boat Water was playing, as they often do at these kinds of things. It was a good time. We had a limited reissue of the Let's/Laurel split w/ bonus tracks (available for download on the releases page), the last Plastic Color Model tapes (also for download), the last Wet Brain tapes, a compilation put out by our friends in Ted Nguyent via Self Help Records, and an iPhone 5 w/ a cracked screen.

Publishing Genius, Artichoke Haircut, and Ink Press had tables too and we recommend them as well.

We also had some hand made copies of a new comp we're putting out, 'Not Feeling That Fine About Fall.' You could call it a 'soft release.' 45 minutes of heavy emo bands from the tristate area, plus some b-sides from previous Boys Records stuff. They are coming out in an edition of 100 before the end of Fall, track list/downloads coming soon.

New Boatwater Tape: a Soft, bee Loud

Some information on these Boatwater tapes- we dubbed 100 copies of this tape, 50 yellow and 50 purple. Who knows which one you'll get. All the covers are unique and 'hand ripped' out of books and magazines. The album is an hour long, broken into two sections. Members of Kid Tiger play on it.
Some color - the record sounds kind of like a warm fuzzy place. The cassette tape format allows the listener to turn the volume up while the music compresses. It can be listened to with eyes open or closed.

Plastic Color Model

Plastic Color Model by Boys Records

The compilation is out now, some of the bands already have copies and we still have plenty left. If you want to order a tape you can do it from the releases page. Thanks everyone for contributing/being patient.

Magic Missile is coming out with some new songs in the next few weeks, and Eat People is back together and thinking about finally putting out an LP sometime in the future so keep checking in in you're interested in that kinda stuff.
